The Maryland Sheriffs' Youth Ranch (MSYR) is a 24-hour foster-care facility for young men between the ages of 10 and 18. They come from families who have been troubled by alcohol abuse, mental illness, poverty, incarceration, abandonment, physical abuse, neglect, or family crisis.
